If you’ve ever worked with epoxy you know it’s pretty darned tough. It’s possible to cut the flexible type as I’m assuming they used here but that won’t make it come up in big sheets; you’d get smaller flakes. It sticks really well if the surface is prepped correctly which this evidently was not
